The 12 Project ~ Month 1

January 2010

We left Eureka and headed to San Jose, CA where we picked up our new "home on wheels".  We continued south for Nick to finish a job in Oxnard, CA.  We stayed at two campgrounds in Santa Paula, CA.  We fell in love with Steckel Park, might have been the fact that we were one of 3 or so campers there during our whole 3 week stay.  We ended the month by going even further south and exploring Santa Monica and Malibu.  And then began our week long trip back up the coast of California.

~For the next 12 months we will be participating in "The 12 Project", basically "Take a photo of your family once a month.  Write a few things about that month.  Make it into a book at the end of the year."  Learn more about "The 12 Project" here and here

  1. I love your blog and your family is beautiful. I even checked out your old blog. It's good to see more and more people on the road. I did it once by myself and now that I've got kids and we've had life to keep us busy, we have to actually PLAN this next on the road journey. I also love your pictures of your dreads. I too have obsessed over them for just about 10 years... I put them in 5 years ago but they only lasted 6 months because I ended up living on a tall saling ship and there were no showers and no way to give them the attention they needed. I'll be doing dreads again soon though, My goal is before my birthday in May..... Keep up the good work. I love reading your blog! Take Care & some day I hope to run into you in the big world on the road
